DMCA Policy

Yearn respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that are properly provided to us.

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof, and you believe that any content hosted on Yearn infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing (see 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3) for further detail):

Filing a DMCA Notice

To file a notice of alleged copyright infringement, please provide our designated Copyright Agent with the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed: A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing: A description of the material that you claim is infringing and where it is located on Yearn, with sufficient detail so that we can find it. Providing URLs is the best way to help us locate the content.
  3. Your contact information: Your address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement of good faith belief: A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement of accuracy and authority: A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Filing a DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. To do so, please provide our designated Copyright Agent with the following information:

  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled: And the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  • A statement of good faith belief regarding mistake or misidentification: A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your subscriber's name, address, and telephone number:
  • Consent to jurisdiction statement: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Yearn may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
